The Italian Job

Milan, Italy, April 19th 2017

The international design event Salone del Mobile in Milan once again demonstrated the enormous attraction of innovative furniture and lighting design. Naturally, we couldn’t afford to miss the Euroluce exhibition held from 4–9 April. The trade fair provided us with the perfect showcase for putting our new hotel collection REVER in the best light.

The REVER collection was designed by Italian architect and designer Marcello Ziliani, who was inspired by the late 1950s and early 1960s. The turned up collar of a men’s blazer served as a motif for the collection. But above all, the unique material and high-quality workmanship make the various REVER luminaires real collection pieces.

The luminaire body was produced from a piece of injection-moulded polycarbonate, and the outer housing, featuring a linen look, was created with state-of-the-art laser technology. It not only looks fantastic, it’s also temperature and scratch resistant. In addition, timeless design and sophisticated functionality are part and parcel of this beautiful collection.  The soft hues of the various REVER luminaires lend each hotel lobby its own unique flair. Appropriately, we also designed our exhibition booth to resemble a comfortable lounge, which was particularly well received by more than 300,000 visitors and 450 international exhibitors. No wonder our booth quickly became “the meeting place” on the 38,000 m2 exhibition floor.
