The way
of light

“Light permeates everything in a way that is ethereal and invisible,” says Steffen Seeger, surveying his well-lit studio in Berlin. The artist from Berlin, best known for his multiple line drawings, was immediately intrigued by the idea of rendering his intangible aspect visually. So we invited him to Kortrijk to create a mural for us. Flowing, intuitively arranged lines that emanate like rays and waves form an energy field on the wall. “I wanted to capture the universal and all-enlivening energy of light with this landscape of overlapping oscillations,” says the artist. The image thereby leaves ample room for interpretation. There’s no better way to put light in the limelight.
