The protection of your personal data is important to us. Therefore, we process your data exclusively on the basis of the statutory provisions (GDPR, Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG), Austrian Telecommunications Act (TKG) 2003). In this data protection information, we inform you about the most important aspects of the data processing carried out on our website.

Collection, processing, and use of personal data: You can visit our web site without having to provide any personal information. We only store anonymous access data including the name of the page from which you visit us and the name of a requested file. This data is exclusively analysed to improve our offer and cannot be used to determine your identity.

Personal data is only collected if and to the extent that you give it to us voluntarily when registering for our newsletter or contacting us via email. For the newsletter we request your name and email address. To provide you with information targeted to your needs, we also collect and process details of your industry that you give to us voluntarily. By registering on forms you will receive our newsletter which is sent by “MailChimp”. We do not disclose this data without your consent. With the submission of the declaration of consent, you agree to receive newsletters by Wever & Ducré.

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. Send your request to unsubscribe to the following email address: news@weverducre.com. We will then immediately erase all your personal data connected with the dispatch of the newsletter. The data will not be disclosed to third parties.

Storage

If you contact us by email, we will store the details you give us for processing the request and, for possible follow-up questions, for at least six months. Depending on the circumstances of the individual case, we store the data sent by you for a certain period. After the cancellation of the purchase process, the data we store is erased. In the event of entering into a contract, data from the contractual relationship is stored up to the expiry of the statutory storage period for tax purposes (7 years) or product liability (10 years, only concerns name, address, goods and date). Data processing is carried out on the basis of the statutory provisions of section 96 (3) TKG or on the basis of your consent and/or the fulfilment of the contract.

Data security

We secure our website and further systems with technical and organisational measures against loss, destruction, modification or distribution of or access to your data by unauthorised persons. Despite controls on a regular basis, however, a complete protection against any possible risks is not possible.

Conversion tracking with the Facebook pixel: within our website we use the “visitor action pixel” of Facebook Inc. 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”). This enables us to keep track of the behaviour of users after they have been redirected to the provider’s website (in this case Wever & Ducré) by clicking on a Facebook ad. This procedure is intended to evaluate the effectiveness of the Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes and may contribute to optimising future advertising campaigns. The data collected is anonymous for Wever & Ducré, so it gives us no indication of the identity of the users. Mail chimp

Our newsletters are sent using “MailChimp”, an email marketing platform of the US provider Rocket Science Group, LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE #5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA. The email addresses of our newsletter recipients and also their other data described under this notice are stored on MailChimp’s servers in the USA. MailChimp uses this information for sending and evaluating the newsletters on our behalf. MailChimp may, in addition, use this data according to its own information for optimising or improving its own services, for example for technical optimisation of the mailing and presentation of the newsletters or for business purposes to identify which countries the recipients come from. However, MailChimp does not use the data in our newsletters to address the recipients itself or disclose it to third parties. MailChimp is certified under the US-EU “Privacy Shield” data protection agreement and thus undertakes to comply with the EU data protection regulations. Furthermore, we have entered into a “data processing agreement” with MailChimp. This is a contract in which MailChimp undertakes to protect the data of our users, to process it on our behalf in accordance with the data protection regulations and in particular not to disclose it to third parties. Live-Chat

The live chat services on our website are supported by a software solution of LiveChat Inc.. This feature is only available if you accept the use of cookies. If you contact our customer service via the live chat and share your name, mail address or other personal data, these data will only be used to answer or fulfill your requests. The collected data is stored for quality management reasons until further notice on LiveChat Inc.’s servers in Europe (Frankfurt). If you do not consent with this policy, you can contact us anytime to request the deletion of your data. LiveChat Inc. is certified under the US-EU “Privacy Shield” data protection agreement and thus undertakes to comply with the EU data protection regulations.
